Which nakṣatra was I born in?
Your birth star (janma nakṣatra) is the one of the 27 lunar mansions the Moon occupied when you were born. Each has a ruling planet: in the Vimśottarī system, the period of that planet is the first of your life, with the part left at birth set by how far the Moon had moved through the star.
